Found an egg under our grapevine. No one was sitting on it and it's been there a few days- so I got rid of it before Conner found it.

Conner went down the slide at the park last night and caught his foot which barrelled him around sideways then he did a faceplant. Resulting in scrapes aside his nose.

Here is the poor child in the evening time. With a big ol' bloated belly.

What a Difference a Day Makes

Toby was mentioning how much skinnier Conner looked the other day...so, I wanted to show you what happens to him in one day.

This is a picture of the morning- when he is thin.

The next blog will be an evening picture- when he is not thin.

His intestines have issues.

Conner's Big Dome

Check out how much rain was in the pool after our storms the other day!! It was great to recycle it and use it to water my plants.

Conner has a giant melon!

In my Jammies Still

Hey there- it is Saturday and I decided to stay in my jammies today...that's what Saturdays are for- right? Josh is at work. I am working on my FHE project while the boys nap.
Indy was great! Harrison Ford is still as Handsome as ever. The movie was funny and energetic. Wyatt was awake but didn't peep the whole time...that doesn't mean his intestines were quiet though. I had to change his diaper right in the middle of the flick.
I just gave Conner a really warm bath which wiped him out for a good nap. Hopefully.

Wyatt is holding his head upright really well. We think he has Josh's ears- they stick out a little just like Josh's did when he was a kid.
Check out the yummy salad I am eating for lunch. MMMM. Spinach, broccoli slaw, black bean, red bell pepper, corn, pepitas, sprouts, and yummy sundried tomato vinaigrette. Tasty. I usually add a protein of some sort...but today I ate a half of a chicken enchilada (with tomatillos and chiles- no cheese or milk products). I am striving hard to feel good in Hawaii!

Friday

I forgot to mention yesterday that Conner and I made the thunder a good thing. I would see lightning and say "Here comes the thunder" and make a crashing noise with my mouth. The thunder would come and we'd both open our eyes big and say Wow (with a smile).
Also, Conner stuck a black bean up his nose. He was eating and then he says "Mama" over and over and squeals a little and points to his nose. I couldn't reach it with my nails and I didn't want to stick it in further- so I plugged the other nostril and told him to blow. It came shooting out. He almost tried it again but I sugar coatedly said "Put it in your mouth, yeah, in your mouth" and he did it- Whew!

Raechal is babysitting Conner this afternoon so Josh and I (and Wyatt) can go see the 4 o'clock Indiana Jones matinee! I will be babysitting her kids tomorrow while her and Toby go.

Hubba Hubba.

I was trying to cook dinner tonight and Wyatt wouldn't let me put him down. When I did, he would scream- forever- I could only handle it for so long. So I took him out to the car to get the frontpack thingy. I came back in and set him in the crook of the couch so I could put the thing on and he whined a little then fell asleep.
Conner is looking better don't you think?

When it started to pour outside Conner said he wanted to go out. So, I opened the door for him and he immediately said, "No" It was dumping!!

Thunder Storms and Rain

It is sprinkling right now and there is some light thunder. This NEVER happens...ok- rarely happens!

It's a great day to stay inside and relax. I turned the heater on but I don't plan on relaxing. Conner just went down for a nap and so did Wyatt (who I think will sleep long because of his shots)- so I am off to clean the house!!!!

Wyatt's 2 monther

Went to the doc for Wyatt this morning. He is doing great. He is 10 pounds 6.5 ounces and 23 1/2 inches long. He got his 2 month shots and didn't like those too much. You could see him startle every time she stuck a shot in...then he would cry real hard for 5+ seconds, then relax until the next one came.
Conner still has a fever and red eyes but he is still pretty happy.
Josh went to sushi with the guys (Clay, Jon, Abraham) this afternoon. I wish I could have went. Sushi sounds good to me right now.

Conner is Hot (Inside)

I went for a walk today, for the first time since Wyatt was born. I think it's pretty good cuz I didn't start walking (then running) until 7 months after Conner was born. It didn't feel too bad but dang that double stroller is hard to push uphill!!
Conner tried on my headphones when we got back.
I know you can't really tell but his eyes were a little red here and he is awfully puffy. He got a major fever on Sunday night but we have been controlling it with Tylenol...but today it was back up to 102 degrees! He was so hot and so miserable- it freaked me out and I took him to the doctor right away. I thought it was his ears again, since we just played in the pool on Sunday. The doc said his ears were fine (good news) but that he didn't see anything else wrong...except some tiny red bumps on his shoulders that could be the sign of a virus. So, he sent us home with that- virus and Tylenol- and to go back on Friday if the fever hadn't subsided.
This picture is from yesterday after Wyatt's bath. He gets curly hair when it's wet. Look how they're in the same position. Hee Hee.
Wyatt is going to the doctor tomorrow for his 2 month appt. He is SO old already! Ha Ha. It is going fast already.

Hot Days ahead

I bought Conner a little pool for the patio so he could play outside on a hot day (like today). He wouldn't sit in it- I think because the water was super cold from the hose. He liked splashing water around and pouring water out of cups.
We went to Gram and Gramps tonight for FHE. We ate Salmon and summer squash and swam in the pool. Oh what a night.
I picked up a crib tent today- for free!! I belong a group through http://www.freecycle.org/ where you get daily emails of things that people in your area are giving away (as a way to recycle things instead of trashing them and filling up our landfills). It was brand new because it didn't fit the lady's crib...lucky me.

Summer Days

We went to the beach club for the first time this year on thursday May 15th. It was really nice out and not too busy. Conner was a little wary of the water and so he cruised around in the shallows and played in the sand. We had great fun with our friends.

Daddy was hangin' with Wyatt one night and Wyatt was tickling Josh's neck when he was rooting around for "some food".

We got a visit from my friend Traci and her daughter Milan. Conner and Milan are one day apart in age. Milan brought her dolly and stroller along and Conner and her enjoyed sharing them.

Pobrecito!!

Look at my poor little dude! He was running in circles in the living room while wearing his Crocs...which always make him trip. Which he did, right into the couch. His teeth cut into the back of his lower lip pretty good but not all the way through. Luckily the camera was right by us when I took him into the kitchen to take a look. I remembered how I would tell Raechal about stuff that would happen to Conner and she would ask if I took a picture. So... I took a picture. Then I called Jess to make sure he didn't need stitches (since she's the expert on injuries). She suggested ice or a Popsicle. You can see which option won out below.

A much happier little man.

I know this is not the best picture of Wyatt, but I thought it was hilarious how he wrinkled his forehead up to look up at me. He looks like an old man.

Boring

I think I have been boring poor Conner to death. I haven't been playing with him much lately and I have been letting him watch a TON of TV...just to keep him preoccupied while I take care of Wyatt. He is starting to rather watch TV than play- and that's not good.
I have been going to see Dr. Thomas (Clay) the past couple of days cuz my darn neck went out. The same thing happened right after I had Conner. It is feeling much better but I am still super tight. I need to get a massage. I am thinking about calling up Kathy Steinert for a massage so that she could just come to my house when both the kids are sleeping. Its hard to spend extra money though, right now, because Josh is really slow again at work.
Speaking of spending money, I need to go grocery shopping SO bad. Time management and extra sleep are two things that are hard to coordinate.
So far Wyatt has only peed on me twice. I was changing his diaper tonigth and he was just staring at me, so I started talking to him before I put the new diaper on. All of the sudden I felt wetness on my hip. He had soaked the couch and my hip at the same time! Way to go Wyatt- you gave your Mama a good laugh!

Conner loves to jump to us when we are in the pool. He says "Up High" so that we will put him up on the edge and then he jumps to us. We got him the swimsuit with the floaties in it and this helps ease everyones minds.

Look at little Wyatt. He seems so tiny to me still. Look how babies can curl their legs up- he still does this a lot.

Look at his cute little itty bitty sausage toes!

His little pouty smile. Poor guy has seborrhoeic dermatitis just like Conner did. It seems to be getting better though.

Conner has never had a cookie- until this day! I got some Joe Joes from Trader Joe's- they don't have anything that he is allergic to. He pulled the cookie apart and ate the frosting first! How'd he know to do that????!!! The next picture is his reaction to eating the frosting.

Conner got a hold of a pen while I was breasfeeding Wyatt. He was doing fine for a while- just coloring on a piece of paper he found. Then he had the pen down at his side and it accidentally marked him- so he said, "Uh-Oh" and started to scribble on himself.
Wyatt is getting more alert. He is staying awake more and taking little cat naps here and there. He is also smiling regularly at me, which I LOVE! He opens his mouth really big and smiles with his mouth and his eyes. He also coos at you. So much fun!

Emotional Afterthought

I tried the life jacket but Conner could hardly move in it. He was like a kid in a super tight snow suit that can't move their arms or their head...so I took it off him and guess what happens.
He nearly drowns.
I was feeding Wyatt by the side of the pool and was watching Conner from afar as he played in the spa with his friends. Suddenly, I noticed him under the water with his arms straight up and he was kicking to get up. I yelled something and my sweet friend grabbed him quickly and held him tight- thank heaven she was there! He came over to me and held on to my legs, crying Mama.
I tried to downplay it for his benefit but inside I was super sad and emotional.
I put Wyatt down and got in the pool with him and he shook it off in no time...he was non-stop jumping to me from the side of the pool and having a blast. I didn't think about it much while still in the pool, but when I got home and Conner went down for a nap and Wyatt was sleeping- it was so quiet and I suddenly began to see the incident over and over in my head. I started to cry and had to call Josh. He made me feel so much better- but gosh, not being able to know that your babies are going to be safe all the time for the rest of their lives is really hard on a parent (sorry Mom, for the h@!% I put you through). I know my future with two boys will be far from uneventful but I think that if I were to worry about everything, I would never leave the house.

Boy do I love my 3 boys.

Lazy Day

Josh let me sleep in this morning. He woke up with Conner and let me stay in bed until 9:30!! Oh the joy of extra sleep!!!! By the time I went downstairs and fed Wyatt again, it was too late to go anywhere without cutting into Conner's nap time. So, I made him lunch and he went down for a nap. I fed Wyatt, again, and then just laid there on the couch with him on my belly and zoned out on TV.
When Conner got up, I fed Wyatt, again, and then we went over to Gram and Gramps to swim in the pool. He has gotten over his fear pretty much...he doesn't like to wade around without you near, but he LOVES to jump from the edge of the pool into your arms!! So cute. I need to get him one of those buoyancy suits like Owen's- or I have a life jacket he could wear. Yeah, that's what I will try. He wants to go down the water slide really bad. He crawls up the stairs and then we have to pull him down crying. He went down a few times last year in one of those blow up crabs for babies. Maybe I'll try that again.
Conner and Sydney had a great time playing together tonight. They get along so well- with just a few tiffs here and there. I love to watch their dynamics.
Poor Josh isn't feeling good today. I think I will try to get up with Conner and Wyatt myself tomorrow morning so that HE can sleep in.

Adventures with two

Conner will only eat corn if it is on the cob. Notice the green beans left untouched on his plate as well.

As you can see, Conner's shiner is on it's way to getting better. One of his cousins pushed him off a chair and we think he hit his eye on the computer.
Also, do you notice the fork in his tongue? It's cuz he's tongue tied.

Conner is holding Josh's old cabbage patch doll.
Yes, you heard me right, I did say JOSH'S doll.

Conner loves to lay down next to his brother every chance he can get.

I went to Old Navy today to get a post pregnancy swimsuit to wear at Gram and Gramps pool. First, I forgot to take the double stroller and remembered only about a block away from the house but decided I could "cart it" with the two just as easy.
When we got to the store I made the mistake of putting Conner in the basket part and then realized that the front part of the cart was way too skinny to accommodate a baby seat. I had to pull a screaming Conner out of the back and force his legs into the holes. I preoccupied him with some red patten leather shoes...
I chose about 8 different suits - varying in sizes and colors. Seriously? I was so laughing so hard in the fitting room. Most of the suits are made for really skinny people with slightly smaller boobs than mine. All I could do was laugh and try to be optimistic about a future "more fit" me. Wow has my body changed since I had Wyatt. I thought about a time where I would have been a lot more distressed about the whole thing. Way back when, when I was super young and fit and looked great but didn't think so. I know what I can get myself to look like- and that is not what I saw in the mirror at Old Navy! Jessica, who has lost over 30 pounds since Christmas, and my new swimsuit are great motivation to step it up! Oh yeah, and the trip to Hawaii in August!
