Been Caught Sleeping

Rae let me borrow her crib since Wyatt was starting to outgrow the pack 'n' play and Conner is still in his crib. Looks like he's pretty comfy in it.
I've been having a Dickens of a time getting him to bed lately. If he's super tired there's not a problem but if he's only one yawn in...man, he rolls around the bed and gets on his knees and grunts and then finally SCREAMS. I let him scream for about 10 minutes then go back in and pick him up and then he quiets down and falls right asleep. I don't know why this started- he was going to bed so well on his own before.

Now What??

So yeah, I broke down and read the Twilight series. I really had no interest at first and I thought it was a little cheesy for a while...and then...I got sucked in! I read the first book in like two days and the rest followed suit. But now I'm done and I don't know what to do with myself. I read the first chapter of Midnight Sun (Edwards perspective) that the author, Stephanie, had on her web site...which only left me wanting more. Now I guess I gotta wait for the movie. Ho Hum.

Our Front Stoop

I was decorating our front porch with some "autumny" looking flowers and plants and thought I was done. But then I saw these candy corn, candles, and mason jars decorations on my friend's Right at Home blog so I had to try them. I got the adorable vintage pumpkin guy at the HomeGoods store for TEN BUCKS!!
I can't get Conner to stop playing with the mini pumpkins and gourds. So, I can never have them in the exact spots I would choose. I just gotta let it go...it's not a big deal.

AAAAGHGHGHG

My visiting teacher brought us some yummy crunchy gummy worms for Halloween (Orange and Black Cherry Flavor from Target I think). The black tongues are a bonus!!

What's Up With Wyatt?

He can hardly sit on his own...but he's working his way up to a crawl...just started this on Monday (Sept. 22nd).

Came home from working out and found these two sleeping like this. If they weren't so cute I'd be a little worried about a potential smush.

Tried our first round of Sweet Potatoes yesterday. Gotta tell ya, he wasn't taking to the rice cereal very well but along came the sweet potatoes - and YUM!!!!!
The big guy just had his 6 month well check. He is 20 pounds 5 ounces and 27 1/2 inches long and doing well. He is actually becoming a lot more fun. He is a squeaker and makes the cutest noises- he's a great sport when it comes to doing all the things Conner wants to do (like Jump 'n' Shout and Disneyland). He just watches and squeaks.

Nuclear Fallout?

So, for 3 months I was getting a little more than this much out of my head when I showered. And this doesn't account for all the hair I lost during the day.

And then THIS, is how much I pulled out of the drain. Conner says Yoss!!!! I say Gross!!!

Needless to say, my hair is super thin right now. Thanks Wyatt!

A Visit From Tina, Kira, and Donavan

My friend Tina and her kids came up to visit me on Saturday, from San Diego. We've been friends for 13 years!! It was so good to see her and she looks great (lost over 30 pounds since the last time I saw her- she's been working hard!!).
She's always got tons of stuff to talk about and she's so bubbly and fun. I miss her.
Donavan warmed up to Josh really well...wouldn't leave his side.

Dave, Shelley, and Chainsaw say, "She's Brown" and her husband is Japanese...makes for some cute babies huh?? (hopefully Tina will get this paragraph-even if no one else does).

To Infinity and Beyond!

Woohoo! Conner's getting brave!!

Disneyland with Daddy

It was so much fun to have Josh with us at Disneyland this time (he got a pass too!!).

Bryson and Conner loved messing around on Pirate's Island. Up and down, in and out, all around. We even saw Jack Sparrow!

Oh Wyatt! Too Cute!

Eating Time

I started feeding Wyatt rice cereal this past Sunday (Sept. 14th). He seems to like it a lot and I don't think it will take very long for him to get the hang of it. I thought it might help him sleep a little longer at night (not that his once a night feeding is too much). But, it seems to have made him wake up more often, I'd imagine from tummy rumblings as his insides try to figure stuff out. I think I may just feed him once in the morning for a while.

Picture Day

Aren't they adorable!!

Conner is soooo cute in his little Christmas jammies. He loves to ride his scooter around the house.

Wo Wos' is learning to hold himself up and rolls all over the place. We are currently working on sitting up alone. Did I ever mention how much I hate our couch cover???

Wo Wos' torso is almost as big as Nonner's. Brotherly love...

Wyatt loves taking a bath and loves to suck on the washcloth.

Update

We were stuck in our house yesterday because they were slurry coating our driveways. I had to park far away in the street...so getting the kids to the car would be a pain...and if I bought anything where I went- I wouldn't be able to get it back to the house myself.

So, we had a long boring day.
Here's an updated pic of Wyatt's teeth. Can you tell he loves it when I pull on his lips like this?

Conner just being cute and trying to hide from me.

Josh is taking the day off and we are going to Disneyland together. I am so excited!!

We Braved Disneyland Today!

Seriously, today is one of the best days I have ever had with my kids! We went to Disneyland and all three of us had SO much fun. Despite the heat, we were in terrific moods. Conner stayed by me without the leash! He is understanding the concept of lines and waiting and staying where he's supposed to be. Such a relief. Wyatt was only a tad scared on the very first ride (Monster's) but from then on, he was at full attention, looking around constantly and squealing here and there. The Bob stroller was a definite asset...along with the front carrier.
Conner and I enjoyed a hot dog. And get this, they even had an ingredient list for the hot dog buns, so I could see if he could eat it or not!!!! Thanks Disney!!!! You don't know how nice that was!
We made it to both parks and enjoyed the new Toy Story ride- what a blast (literally)!!!! Little bummed that Small World and Haunted Mansion were closed but got to visit our friend Jack Sparrow. Don't worry- we went on kid rides too. Wyatt was so agreeable and curious and happy- he even got a couple naps.
Again- one of the best days ever.

New Duds

Aren't Conner's cheeks just so big and cute and squishy? I just want to squeeze them and kiss them all the time!!

This is Wyatt's new shirt! His aunt Raechal made it for him and she also made Conner one with a "C" inside the Superman symbol. So cute!! She is selling her stuff (with barrettes and girl things too) on her Etsy store web site.
This shirt is really well made. She stitches around some heavy duty camouflage material to make the "W".
Love all the shirts!! Thanks Rae...oh yeah, there's a onesie with a tie stitched on too! Perfect for church. Soooo cute.
