Easter Sunday

We told Conner the Easter Bunny had visited Grandma's and hid eggs in her yard so he was so excited. We made the big kids wait inside so Wyatt could get at least one egg. Doesn't he look so dapper in his Easter duds?

This was Wyatt's first taste of candy...ok, he's had a sucker or two here and there, but I've never given him free reign. He was like "Wo!" when these candies fell out and he figured out he could shove them all in his mouth.

Conner wanted to use his pumpkin for the eggs instead of a basket. Who am I to argue with a two year old? Besides, it's what makes him him.

This is Wyatt hanging out by the egg basket because he knew that's where the candy was. Brilliant!

Conner still looking for eggs.

This is funny because Wyatt HEARD someone drop an egg and all it's jelly beans flying out. He was SO thrilled, as you can see. He was doing that shaking thing that kids do. Like tensing up all his muscles so they shake then he ran toward the sound making high pitched squeaks the whole way.

Raechal helps Conner get the last remaining egg after he spotted it.

I love his face here...

...and here.

All the kids took turns spinning on the swing. Conner has a hard time holding those legs up...we need to work on his abs a little.

This is the beginning of the scavenger hunt for their Easter baskets at Grandma's. Raechal and Toby set this up. Way cool.

Check out Conner's wet head. Yeah, that's sweat. He gets like this a lot cuz he runs around so much. I think him keeping his shoes on makes it worse. Right now he has a thing about keeping his socks and shoes on...he REALLY likes his black shoes where we criss cross the Velcro.

Wyatt shoving his face between the spindles as he ascends the stairs.

The last clue to getting their baskets told them to ask Grandpa what was the meaning of Easter. But Owen, so smart, told us it was because Jesus would be able to be resurrected. Close enough dude!

Remember these punch balls? Conner, Owen, and Sydney hit it up in the air for like 20 minutes until Conner had a meltdown (from a long day and the fact that he couldn't get to the ball as often as he wished).

Wyatt's hands were super sticky from candy and then he grabs the iridescent Easter grass from his basket. Sticky little mess.

And finally, we have Wyatt hording all the candy he can find in the pouches of his cheeks...while Aunt Raechal pinches his chubby legs.

You guys do so many fun things as a family! I love how somebody lifted Conner up to get the egg out of the light. What a fun day! Is Owen swinging or throwing something in the air??
