Babies

Oh, what daddies can teach a boy.

Little Wyatt is a handful...what exactly does that mean??? I think you might know. He's still my cute, sweet, smart as a tac, little munchie.

Attempts at Being Artsy Fartsy

light brown peach fuzz, calling me to touch it
buttery soft skin and baby chubs
strong pincer toes learned from Mommy
baskets of laundry waiting to be folded and piles of confusions without homes
the sun kissing a web just right
speedy naked brown boy plagued by food allergies
cheeks and eyes- SO BIG
nighttime comforters in a starlit room
mischief and munchies
Having been inspired by numerous other blogs (after finally taking some time to blog stalk...which I'd never done before and should probably just stop now because it takes up so much time-dumb, dumb, dumb- I have so many things I could be doing) I have decided to try my hand at some more artistic photos of the goings on of my days. I've also picked up a few styles and ideas that I want to try out with my writing and blog layout...
I was out of control today with the camera, pointing and shooting at everything. Its hard to widdle down to the pictures that will actually end up on my blog.
You see that Conner is naked in quite a few of the pics...we are working on going potty on the toilet and doing an amazingly wonderful job- how'd I seriously get so blessed with a kid that wants to "go uckies on the toilet??"
Beautiful memories to keep.

Disappointed?

So, it looks like I actually gained a couple pounds...but I'm convinced its water and new muscle weight. Seriously.

I was a little disappointed- but I do know better (having a Kinesiology degree). I lost a total of 3.5 inches of jiggly fat in 4 weeks. Studies show that if I continue my exercise regime, I will lose even more inches in the 6-8 week mark.
Here's to running. We'll see what happens.
Grrr.
You should see the pictures that come up for "belly fat" when you Google image it. Ick.

Love for the Game Starts Early

You should'a heard him!

Garage Sale-ing

I went garage sale-ing with the little boys this Saturday morning. We finally got out of the house around 9:30- way later than I had anticipated. But, I still found everything I was looking for and more! For only 10 bucks I might add.
Whatever shall they be??? Stay tuned for their morph into Halloween decorations!

Mission Viejo Homecoming Game

We took the kiddos to Mission's Homecoming Game this past Friday. I wasn't sure how it would go. I was a little wary, not to mention loaded down with bags, blankets, and kids.
We went at 5:30 for the 7:30 game to make sure we would get a spot. The Steinert's and the Johnson's saved some space for us. We actually went to support Josh Steinert, our friends son. He's a giant DL. Check out his stats and picture- he's looking to play in college - and rightfully so. Kathy had pulled pork sandwiches and fixin's in the parking lot before the game so we chowed and Conner woo'ed the older kids with his skills (see pictures below).
When we sat in the bleachers to watch the game Conner sat in front of us and kept moving down lower and lower to chat with people he didn't know. He was really excited about the game action and said that they ran fast and then OW-hurt.
At halftime they brought out real camels and the lady royalty on flying carpets (wood platforms painted and held by 4 guys). They had huge painted wooden backdrops to emphasize the "Aladdin" theme for homecoming. How much money does this school have????
Anyways, the game was great and Conner and Wyatt did really well. Wyatt charmed the pants off anyone sitting close enough for him to smile and squeal at. We went home after the halftime show content with our first football game memories.

I Did It!

I survived Adventure Boot Camp! I didn't want to say anything about it until I actually finished...so, here I am. Letting you know that it totally kicked my butt every weekday morning at 5:30AM for a month. Yes, even in that crazy lightning and thunderstorm the other day, I was out doing squats and running!!
I improved my mile run time by exactly one whole minute!!
I went from 21 push ups in one minute to 28.
I went from holding a plank from 1:05 to 1:50.
I'm not sure if my weight has changed much but I do know that my measurements did. Oh- and so did my endurance (BIG TIME).
I get my post measurements on Monday- I'll let you know.
Big Plug for OC Adventure Boot Camp!!!

Why The Twinkle Toes You Ask?

I always thought there was a little similarity between Josh and Fred.
They call Fred Twinkle Toes.
So, I call Josh Twinkle Toes.

It just so happens that Conner walks on his toes ALL the time.
So, he's Twinkle Toes Junior.

And then theirs WoWos, who seems to be following suit.
Hence, Twinkle Toes Junior Junior.

Let Me Explain

Let me explain why letting Conner run around with a poopy diaper would be bad.
Since he was born, he has only had 2-3 solid poopy diapers. The rest are either really soft or really watery- and all are really stinky. I call it chronic diarrhea. The doc says it's not a problem...what does he know?!
Now you know.

Cuties

Conner was messing around with Wyatt's food tray. Hilarious. I showed him the picture of himself after he did this and he was really weirded out. Wonder why.

These are some shots of Wyatt after he ate his dinner. He gobbled down the carrots so fast and wanted more! He's hard to feed right now. He's all over the place and grabs at everything. What a mess!I waited a little too long to change Conner's poopy diaper yesterday -oops- and so it was just easier to clean him off in the sink rather than try to use wipes to get everything. Way to go Mom!
