Quickly

It's so hard to get to the computer and actually spend a little time writing and posting pics. I have gotten a chance to "glance" at other people's blogs but haven't had time to comment. I am glad to see that everyone is having a fun summer- between traveling and family events.

Wyatt started cutting teeth while we were in Hawaii...which explains his constant need for attention (I think). He is getting his two bottom teeth at the same time. This is two months and one tooth ahead of Conner...maybe I'm glad I'm not still breastfeeding!Conner is testing me huge. He really likes to smack and squish Wyatt. He smacks Mommy and Daddy too which really ticks me off- I was loudly and firmly telling him not to do it...but it wasn't working. Today, when he did it, I picked him up gently, put him in time out, and told him softly no hitting. He wiggled around and tried getting up so I figured it wasn't working- SIGH! What next? So, he comes up to me, smacks my leg, says no while shaking his head, and goes to sit in time out by himself. He repeated this 5 or 6 times. What the heck? I'm assuming this means this method is working....although we are still getting whacked.

Conner is getting so big and he is jumping off high things with both feet together and going up stairs without holding railings or walls (he's been doing that for about a month). He says so many words and loves to repeat everyone. You should hear him when we go through a drive through window!! Hilarious. He says Monnie for Mommy (which I love).

They are both such blessings to me. Such wonderful amazing little guys that make me enormously happy. I think Conner is just so cute in all that he does and Wo Wos is silly and grabby (as in he loves to grab stuff-making crazy grunting noises), he loves watching Conner and laughs at him all the time. What a bunch of giggles we have going on in this house!!

Before Hawaii

Coolin' off in the lanai pool

Wearin' the shirts Shelby brought back for them from Fiji.
Bula Vinaka!

He told me he wanted to go Uckies on the toilet. And he did.

Eating with a shovel for a spoon. What the?

Oh!!! So cute. Little WoWos is so cute...he takes after his dad.

What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails, and puppy-dogs' tails,
That's what little boys are made of.

Crazy Busy

I have been SOOOOO crazy busy trying to get ready for Hawaii. I have been on errand after errand trying to get everything. I need to keep Conner occupied on the plane so I bought him a bunch of coloring stuff and toys and snacks...bringing along a portable DVD player too.

I had to go get Wyatt's birth certificate today at the Laguna Hills Civic Center. Saw my first live gay marriage...at least the place was clean and quick and close.

Everyone in our house is SICK! Yuck!! Runny noses, sore throats, and fatigue...thank Heaven this is happening now and not when we leave for Hawaii.

Getting my hair done tomorrow. Rae is babysitting. SO KIND OF HER!!!!

Josh has 7 reports due in the 7 days left before we go to Hawaii...he is down to 4 days.

Catch Up

Conner's non-dairy eggless chocolate cake. His first time eating cake and blowing out candles. A little spit never hurt anyone, right? He's gotten the hang of opening presents and loved all his gifts!

Not so sure of Grandma's swing.

Much more sure of Grandma's swing.

Sydney and Conner eating more cake on the sly.
Beach day at Aliso State Beach. Great day and beautiful water.

Little worker bees.

Conner is now eating stuff out of the fridge. Quietly and without us realizing. Josh caught him with his teeth in a cube of butter!!! So not good. I threw the butter out and we currently have no "real" milk or cheese...
