Catch Up

Conner's non-dairy eggless chocolate cake. His first time eating cake and blowing out candles. A little spit never hurt anyone, right? He's gotten the hang of opening presents and loved all his gifts!

Not so sure of Grandma's swing.

Much more sure of Grandma's swing.

Sydney and Conner eating more cake on the sly.
Beach day at Aliso State Beach. Great day and beautiful water.

Little worker bees.

Conner is now eating stuff out of the fridge. Quietly and without us realizing. Josh caught him with his teeth in a cube of butter!!! So not good. I threw the butter out and we currently have no "real" milk or cheese...

B-Day

The B-day Boy and his Brother!

Happy 2nd Birthday Conner!!
"Be loyal to the royal that is in you, for you are the child of a King." -Harold B. Lee

"Children are like sponges who at length slowly but surely absorb all your strength - leaving you listless and limp as a sack, but just squeeze them tightly... they'll give it all back!" (Credit Unknown)

Kinda Sad

So, I have mostly stopped breastfeeding. :(

Wyatt wasn't gaining weight very well so I decided to supplement. He started denying "the boob" at that point and I could only get him to nurse in the middle of the night when he was too tired to realize what was going on.
So, I'm sad. I know it's a lot easier to bottle feed...I just miss the bonding and I'm bummed I can't give him all the good stuff my milk contains (pumping doesn't work so well for me).
On the other hand- it has made running a lot easier. Not as much boinga boinga going on.

Bad Cooking Experience

I wanted to test out this recipe for "Crazy Cake" that my cousin sent to me. It was Conner safe- so I thought we might use it for his birthday...you put the dry ingredients in the pan, make two hollows and fill them with oil-vinegar-and vanilla, then pour water all over- but NO mixing. As you can see from the finished product, it didn't quite turn out. I stirred it after that, thinking I could get stuff to mix...to no avail.

Conner did enjoy helping me though. He ate (and spilled) lots of flour.

My Grandma sent me this Barbie, which I assume I used to play with. I showed it to Conner the other day and told him it was a dolly. He asks for the dolly and loves to move her legs. Yikes.

This is how I jimmy rigged a bottle prop for Wyatt- so I could feed him and do other stuff at the same time. I have to prop the pillow above his legs otherwise he kicks it off, and I have to swaddle him or he pushes everything away with his hands.
Conner has started adding "s's" to everything he says. Instead of "more" it's "mores"; instead of "no" it's "nose". When he says "mores" it sounds like he's from New York.

The Boys

Wyatt's first time in the command module. Propped up with blankets he only lasted about 5 minutes.
Conner in my makeup.

Daddy and his boys.

Conner got peed on while I gave Wyatt a bath in the sink. Conner was at the perfect level for the perfect shot.

Wyatt first started grabbing things on purpose- July 13, 2008.

So cute!

4th of July at San Clemente Pier

I didn't get many good pics of the 4th cuz I was too busy having fun. These are from early morning. Josh, Mitch, Sharon, and Drew got down there a bit before 5 am to stake a large area for our multiple families and friends.
We played bags, ate alot, played in the sand, and enjoyed the best fireworks show I have EVER seen. Conner was so tired (no nap) that he watched a few from the corner of his eyes and I think they scared him to sleep.

Day at the SD Zoo

Josh couldn't make it to the zoo with us...he had to work. So, I had a TON of help from all the rest of the families! Thanks everyone! We had so much fun.
